Interview with Ishimoto Miho sensei about her manga

"Sakuro Iro Happy--" (lit: Happy like the colour of cherry blossoms)

Q. What kind of girl is Fuyu chan?

A. A very bright, happy and positive girl!

She is very powerful who might win if

she fights with a bear.

Q. I heard that you like the koto (japanese harp)?

A. In fact, my mother is a koto teacher. When I was

little, I hated kneeling so I quit. But now I'm past

20 and I'm aiming for "Japanese tradition" so I'm learning

from my mother once again.

Q. It is also in the title, but is there any special

memory to do with cherry blossoms?

A. Although it wilted, we had a large cherry blossom tree

in our yard. Every spring, I liked to stare blankly at

it from the rooftop.

Q. Who is your favourite character?

A. I love all of them, but I especially like Kalimu.

Q. What is your latest craze?

A. I am collecting books about flowers and paper with

coloured figures. I love anything that's pretty!

Q. And lastly, a short word to our readers.

A. By all means, I hope you feel like you are staying in

the boarding house and enjoy reading.
