Interview with Seto Yuuna sensei about her
new manga series "Marble * Kids"
Q. What kind of girl is the main character, Moka chan?
A. She's a girl who works hard as a cheer leader girl to
cheer everyone, enjoys her youth and loves to dance.
Q. Do you think sensei and Moka chan are alike?
A. I don't think we're alike. Moka is very good at dancing
as well as sports, but my sports abilities are nil.
During high school, I disliked dance classes the most
and I remember being jealous of a friend who was very
good at ballet.
Q. Please tell us a bit more about the camera boy Aoi.
A. To Aoi, girls' panties are his life. He loves mini
skirted girls and is a little sukebe (perverted).
But he's a cute
character that you can't hate.
Q. Tell us about any trouble you had or things you enjoyed
while doing this story.
A. The thing I enjoyed most was drawing Moka's dancing
scenes. But I've never actually seen a proper cheer
leading team so drawing it with only the memories of
my high school cheer squad was a little hard.
Q. Did you do anything special to draw this story?
A. I thought it might come in handy so I bought an
instant camera (something like a polaroid?).
I wouldn't have to take it to develop and I can
see the photos as soon as I take them. It was fun
taking them and I'm thinking of taking it to my
friends house and snapping away.
Q. Sorry to be so sudden, but who is your type of guy?
A. I like someone who is fun to be with, so I like the
entertainer from ninety nine, Okamura kun. I like how
he's like a monkey.
Q. And lastly, a message for the readers.
A. I'm going to try hard to create a story which, through
Moka, I can cheer up those people who try hard with not
just sports, but with love and studying. Please support
me!
