Q. What kind of girl is the main character, Nao chan?

A. An average girl.

Q. Where did the title originate from?

A. I used the title of an old song as a hint.

Q. Who is your type of guy?

A. Thin and good looking. Their accent should be their eyes.

Going with personality, someone who is a little slow.

Q. Do the boys you draw in your work turn out to look

like the type of person you like?

A. Yes, it's very obvious.

Q. What is the good thing about being a mangaka?

A. I don't have to go to work.

Q. What is your goal this summer?

A. I want a new air conditioner. The one I have now is old.

"Koi wa Survival Game"

(lit. Love is a Survival Game)

Q. With this manga, are there any points that you thought

"I want to draw this!" ?

A. I wanted the sub characters to shine other than the main

character. I think in their ways, they've turned out to be

individuals.

Q. What is the good thing about being a mangaka?

A. Well, being able to do what I love every day. My hobby is

working so there is nothing else that makes me happier.

Q. What is your latest craze?

A. Training my dog Timothy. But he is just like me and has only

learnt "house" (?) and "stay." But he's cute.
