This is a cute story about your avergae teenage girl called Miyabi who has a crush on Ryuuta, a guy who works at the nearby theme park.
He's extremely popular with other girls, so Miyabi knows that someone as average as her will never have a chance with him. Miyabi's friend drags Miyabi to the theme park to go see Ryuuta and tells Miyabi that she's sorry for dragging her there since Miyabi doesn't like guys who are outgoing and a bit lighthearted like Ryuuta. Then she asks Miyabi how she can keep the tacky theme park keyring like it was her most treasured item. Miyabi wonders if it is tacky and then she thinks to herself that someone as boring as her couldn't possibly openly admit that she has a crush on Ryuuta. She liked him ever since the day she say Ryuuta help a little boy get a helium balloon out of a tree. Then he gave Miyabi the theme park keyring welcoming her to the place. So she treasured the keyring because it was what Ryuuta gave her.
Her friend and several other girls ask Ryuuta if he wants to hang out with them, but he says he can't because he's working. Then Miyabi overhears them ask Ryuuta what kind of girl he likes. Ryuuta then replies saying "a girl who's cute". Miyabi is a little hurt, since she knows she is far from cute and she runs away crying. She bumps her head into a fortune telling machine. The fortune machine tells her that to be Ryuuta's Cinderella, she needs to look cute and suddenly there is a bright flash. All of a sudden, Miyabi is transformed into an extremely cut looking girl. A group of guys see her and says she's cute.
Everyone is staring at her as she walks towards Ryuuta. She is surrounded by guys who want to pick her up and Miyabi just wants to get to Ryuuta. She runs away towards the fortune machine near the exit. As Miyabi leaves the theme park, the magic cast on her disappears and she returns to her normal self. The fortune machine tells her that it only works inside the theme park.
At school, everyone is talking about the "cute girl" who hangs out at the theme park. Miyabi goes to the theme park again to see Ryuuta. She's standing outside when somebody bumps into her and it's Ryuuta, who's fainted. He's feeling sick after going on a ride with a little kid. She puts a wet cloth over his eyes and he feels a bit better. They talk and Miyabi tells him that it's her dream to ride on the merry-go-round with the guy she loves. Ryuuta says that she's cute and Miyabi blushes. Ryuuta asks her to come again and asks for her name. She tells him that it's Kurihara Miyabi.
Soon after, Ryuuta is asking some girls if they know a "Kurihara Miyabi". They say it's unsual that Ryuuta is looking for a girl. He says she left something behind and holds up Miyabi's keyring. Meanwhile, Miyabi is looking for her keyring and then sees Ryuuta talking to the girls. He says that he couldn't see her face, but he knows that she was a gentle girl who took care of him. And he says that she must be if she treasures the theme park keyring. Then the girls giggle and say that a girl who keeps such a tacky keyring must be uncool. Miyabi decides to use the fortune machine's magic and turns into a gorgeous girl.
She walks up to Ryuuta and says that it is her keyring and that she's Kurihara Miyabi. The girls can't believe it. Ryuuta thanks her and says he'll show her around as thanks for when she took car of him while he was feeling sick. Ryuuta says he'll buy some drinks and leaves Miyabi. The girls from before say that it's funny that someone as pretty as her keeps such a tacky keyring and it doesn't suit her "taste" to have such a stupid keyring.
Then Miyabi says that it's not hers and says she'd never own such a stupid keyring, only someone really boring and dull would. She only did it to be able to be friends with Ryuuta. Then Ryuuta says, so it was a lie? He says that he thought the girl who took care of him was cute and what she said about the merry-go-round was cute. Miyabi says he's lyring, since no matter how nice your words can be, it's always about the outside appearances. Ryuuta says he was happy that someone treasured the theme park keyring. He tells her that she's the liar by deceiving him.
At school, Miyabi's friend tells her that it's a good thing the "cute girl" stopped coming to the theme park. Miyabi agrees awkwardly. Miyabi's friend tells her that it's obvious she likes Ryuuta and she should ask Ryuuta out. Miyabi says she can't because she's not cute and her friend says that's just an excuse. Just because your cute, doens't mean you can't ask him out!
Miyabi goes to the theme park to look for her keyring and bumps into Ryuuta. She tells him that she dropped her keyring, the panda theme park one with a name plate. Ryuuta asks if she must be Miyabi. Then she asks him if he would go on the merry-go-round with her. She says that it's her dream to go on it with the guy she loves. He says he knows that and agrees to go on the merry-go-round.
