SHIINA, Ayumi (Summaries)

Penguin Brothers
The leader of the Blacks I don't actually like Shiina Ayumi's stories *that* much to tell the truth, but Penguin Brothers was a story I thoroughly enjoyed ^_^ I think many people have done summaries of this, so I'll just stick with what I've done, which is only one summary! This is one I sent to a friend, so it's not very formally done.

These will open in a new window.

Summaries I've done:
Chapter 1
The main character is a girl called Mishima Hina. She moves schools (this is her 8th time, but not because she's bad, it's because she lives with her uncle and he's a painter so they move a lot). Anyway, this new school is really odd. It's apparently a no uniform school, but there's 3 types of "uniform" you can wear. It's like 3 groups actually. There's the "blacks" which wear black uniform (you know the 'gakuran' type uniform? not the one with blazer and tie, but those black ones with buttons down the front? that the guys wear? ummm ummm ummmm ^_^;;) and the "blacks" are the academically poor students. Then there are the "whites" that wear white uniform and they're the really smart academic students. Then, there are "greys". The "greys" aren't either "whites" or "blacks" and they're just inbetween. They wear free dress. But there's only one "grey" introduced so far in the story.

The leader of the Whites Anyway, there's leaders in each group (except grey i think). And if you're in a group, you have to say what the leader says or you pay the price. (It sort of reminds me of Hana Yori Dango's F4!!) Hina meets the leader of the "whites", Isshiki Shoui and thinks he's really smart looking and sort of elegant. Then, he keeps telling her his name. She doesn't really seem to know the name and he gets annoyed that she doesn't remember. He tells her to remember it by the next day or else. She can't believe that this guy was what she thought as elegant and intelligent.

One of the "Greys" befriends her (Koshiba Tetsuta, the only one shown so far) and shows her around, telling her the rules (about the whites and blacks). She sees a fight where the leader of the "blacks" is picking on a "white". The leader grabs a pole to bash the guy with and she tells him to stop. The leader gets really annoyed and pushes her away. Tetsuta says she's new. So the black leader (Nishizaki) tells her that there's leaders, etc etc. The black leader is about to bash the guy with the pole when the new girl jumps in front. Then, Tetsuta jumps in front of her and he gets hit instead. Then the "white" leader comes along and sees them. HinaThere's a huge crowd and people whisper that the two leaders never face each other like this. Hina decides she'll be a "grey" because she doesn't want to be anyone's servant. Then, the other students wonder how long she'll last and are amused by the fact that there's a new "grey".
