She wants him to realise her feelings, but the only way to get close to him is to use her telekenisis powers to attract his attention. Hourai Mikado - An intelligent guy, but his focus is on science and nothing else. He is determined to be able to be like Psycho Man (not Psycho as in crazy, but Psycho as in inhuman powers I think....) and use super powers to save the world.. The class rep (Shiraishi Kouki) - He is chasing Ion around, asking her to go out with him. He is Mikado's rival. He has a deputy class rep, Tagosaku helping him out. Minase Ai - Mikado's ex-girlfriend. She comes and enrols to his school to get him back. She can use super powers too and is Ion's rival. Kiyo chan & Manami - Ion's two friends. ** A very clever character use by Tanemura Arina sensei is that Miyako's brother is in this story. He is Toudaiji, one of the members of Mikado's super power's club. Funny eh? Ion by - Tanemura Arina Chapter 1 - 3 seconds of a miracle (3 Byou no Kiseki) Ion has a jinx that her father told her ever since she was little. The jinx is to say her name instead of counting 1 - 2 - 3. I - O - N. Her father told her that good things will happen to her if she said it. At school, Ion is running away from the class rep and bumps into Mikado as she is jumping out the window. Mikado is sewing a curtain from his shed where he had an experiment. The class rep comes around again and Mikado hides Ion under the curtain. They talk and it seems obvious that the class rep doesn't like Mikado. After the class rep leaves, Ion talks to Mikado. Mikado says that he thinks the class rep ripped his curtain, sabotaging his experiment and the shed. Ion finds out Mikado's name and instantly wants to be his friend. She and him are classmates, but she never knew him too well. After finding out that he is the president of the "super powers investigation" club, she gets interested and wants to see if he can use telekenisis or any other powers. Mikado says he's experimenting with something he read in a book. There was a scientist who could bring out telekenisis in people so he's trying to do what the scientist did. Ion asks why he's interested and that's where Psycho Man comes up. He was a little children's hero and he saved the world using his psychic inhuman powers. Mikado has dreamt of being Psycho Man. Ion is amused by the thought and thinks that Mikado isn't so hard to approach afterall. During class, he seemed like the harsh/cold brainiac type so she never knew this side of him. Ion tells Mikado her jinx. She tells him that something good will happen, so Mikado says the jinx using his name. He closes his eyes and after saying the jinx, opens his eyes to find his curtain all sewed up. Ion asks if something good happened, knowing that it did because she sewed the curtain. Mikado thinks to himself that Ion's kind of weird. Ion says that the jinx was in return for telling her his dream and she'll pay him back for saving her from the class rep. She'll get the class rep to make his club into a proper one. Ion goes to see the class rep. He's happy to see her, but once Mikado's topic pops up, he isn't too pleased. Ion asks why he doesn't like Mikado and the class rep says that super powers don't exist so it's useless trying to investigate it so he doesn't like Mikado. Ion then tricks him into signing the application form for the club. She says she'll be the president and if the class rep tries to close down the club, she'll hate him forever. The class rep talks to Tagosaku why Ion would want to be on Mikado's side. Tagosaku suggests that maybe Ion is in love with Mikado and the class rep is shocked. Ion tells her two friends (Kiyo chan and Manami) that she's in love with Mikado. Her friends are shocked because Mikado seems so closed in and quiet. Ion begs her friends to join the new club she made and they agree. She goes to tell Mikado that she couldn't make his club a proper one. She finds him outside a smoking shed. Ion asks why there's smoke coming out of the shed. Mikado says that his experiment caught on fire. Ion is surprised and then tells him that she made a dummy club with her as the president. Mikado thanks her, but says that if he's going to have a club, he'll get one by himself and fight the class rep one on one. Ion thinks he's really cool and he's like a hero. Mikado leaves and Ion waves. She grins. She saw him leave the shed unlocked so she sneaks in. She finds a thin, dark blue piece of stone (?). Ion thinks it's a little strange and maybe she's seen it before somewhere. She picks it up and suddenly, an electrical current rips through her body. She screams as her whole body feels fuzzy. Ion says her jinx and there is a bright flash. Ion opens her eyes to find that she is floating, metres above the air! She is excited that Mikado's experiment works, but then realises that there's smoke around. She sees that the shed is on fire and remembers what Mikado was saying before about the experiment being on fire. Ion stresses out, wondering what to do about the fire. Mikado is in the class room when someone says there's a fire. Then, he find out that it's his shed. He runs over through the crowd of people looking at his flaming shed. Ion thinks that the only way to get rid of the fire is to drown it with lots of water. She thinks to herself, "Fly!" and she flies to the school swimming pool. Mikado sees Ion and is puzzled. Ion gets to the pool, but realises that she doesn't know how to get the water to the fire. Mikado comes to her and tells her to make the water float. Ion is panicking and says she can't do it. Mikado says to calm down and listen to his voice and do it in the same timing as his voice. Mikado counts "1-2-3" and keeps counting. Ion says her jinx and the water starts to float. Ion throws her arm up and the water rises. She heads for the shed and splashes the water all over it. Everyone watches in awe and wonders where the water came from. (Ion is really high up so they can't see) Mikado also stares in awe and from the building, the class rep and Tagosaku are looking with binoculars and a camera! Ion suddenly falls down on top of Mikado and he says to her that he wants her! Ion realises that she's gained three powers all thanks to her jinx.
