OBANA, Miho (Translations)

Kodomo no Omocha
Sana Kodomo no Omocha is a story about a girl called Sana and a guy called Akito and plenty of other characters. Basically, it's just the story of children growing up in the real world full of nasty things, not pleasantries (is that a word?). These were done as a request and are the last three chapters of Kodomo no Omocha.

These will open in a new window.

Pochi
Sayaka This was written after Kodomo no Omocha has finished and it is a story about a young boy, "Pochi", who lives with his grandma and mother. His mother has been traumatised and refuses to believe that her son is a human boy. She treats him like a pet dog they used to have that died in a traffic accident. (Pochi is one of those standard type names for a dog in Japan, much like in English a dog could be called "Spot".) Sayaka meets "Pochi" and becomes intrigued with him...

Pochi is a story published in the July 1999 issue of Ribon.

NOTE: A new series called "Pochi" by Miho Obana featuring the same characters and background (but the plot is set in the future) has started in Ribon in 2003. This translation I've done is NOT for the series!

Obana Miho is also the author of Partner and Andante.
