He has already given the school notice about him leaving. He tells Tsuyoshi, Fuuka and Aya about Sana and her "Ningyou byou" (doll's disease). They go and visit her to cheer her up. They come almost everyday with food. Since Sana is sick, she can't eat too much food without throwing it up, but they come anyway. Sana is trying to think why she's feeling so ill. She has a flashback of when she is a baby, being left on the bench. She wakes up and Hayama is there with some food. She eats it, but throws up and gets ill again. A doctor comes to see the Kurata household, Dr. Iwasaki. He explains to them that Sana might be having problems with trusting people because of what happened to her as a baby. He says that she might be having the same thing recurring to her now. Hayama says that it's rubbish and why doesn't the doctor think of something to make Sana better? Hayama visits again. Sana and Hayama talk about him leaving for L.A. Sana says that the reason is because they're children. That's why they can be pulled apart by their parents. Sana suggests that they should try to become adults. She sneaks around the house and tries some wine, but it tastes disgusting so she tries something else. She gets Hayama in bed with her. They get caught and her mother tells them that they should think seriously. Sana says she can't because they won't be together. Sana is tired so she sleeps again. When she wakes up, she tells Hayama that she wants to run away from home. She wants to just have some fun. Hayama asks if she's being serious and Sana says she is. He agrees. They take Sana's savings and some other belongings and run away. They leave a note for their parents to find. Lei finds the note and Sana's mother is devastated. END OF CHAPTER 49
