A monologue: Strong, serious and very independent. The first
time I met you,
But there was something that bothered me. The way you
sometimes showed that sad side face,
the way you sometimes show that great smile. I found out the
truth about them in the dark.
When I found you trembling in fear, so lonely with tears in
your eyes... You were so lovely
and dear that I wanted to protect you forever, a thought
from the bottom of my heart.
(in a coffee shop)
Maron: So Chiaki, I'd like you tell me all about it!!
Chiaki: What nice weather.... Let's go out first!
Maron: What? Hey Chiaki!?
Chiaki: Today's a great day for a date!
Maron: Chiaki! We can talk anywhere! We don't have to go
out...
Chiaki: Maron, don't you want to go on a date with me?
Maron: It's not that!
Chiaki: Then don't say things like that! I get worried. I'm
really happy about today.
[Maron blushes]
Maron: Okay.. Sorry..
[Puts his arm around her]
Chiaki: Good.
[Miyako and Minazuki kun are behind the bushes -- apparently
they were shopping for things to
catch Jeanne with]
Miyako: What are those two~~~~~~! They're planning to have a
secret date!
Minazuki kun: Nagoya kun~~! Look at how he has his arm
around her~~~~~!
Miyako: We're going after them class rep!!
Minazuki kun: Roger!!
(at an amusement park, Maron is on a rollercoaster)
Maron: Why!? Why an amusement park!? How can we talk
properly here?
Chiaki: Maron, you're so impatient! Okay, then I'll tell
you.
[the rollercoaster hits the peak]
Chiaki: Well you see....
[the rollercoaster screams down]
(after the ride)
Chiaki: Do you understand?
Maron: Yeah right----!! Stop teasing....
Chiaki: Maron! Do you remember that haunted house? Next....
[Maron is gazing at a carousel]
[Chiaki grins]
Chiaki: Do you want to ride it? Let's go then.
Maron: Uhh no no no it's okay! I'm wearing a skirt too...
and it's embarrassing!!
Chiaki: It's all right, come on.
Maron: No no Chiaki! I'll be fine! I'll be fine~~~~!
[Chiaki lifts Maron up onto a horse]
Chiaki: There you are princess.
Maron: [thinks] Wow...
[Chiaki sits down next to her on the same horse]
Maron: What? You're riding too? With me!?
Chiaki: Yup!
Maron: No no, it's so embarrassing! More than before!
Chiaki: Come on, hold on it's starting. See?
[Maron looks stunned]
Maron: Hm! You're always so forceful!
[Maron turns her head away]
Chiaki: I wanted to see your smile today. Also...
[Chiaki takes Maron's injured hand]
Chiaki: I wanted to make up for this injury.
[Chiaki kisses the wound]
Chiaki: You took off the bandage because you thought it
would bother me... sorry... and thanks..
[Miyako and Minazuki kun watch]
Minazuki kun: They seem so lovey-dovey it's hard to
interfere... Don't you agree Toudaiji san?
Miyako: Sorry, I.. I'm going now.
[Miyako walks off]
Minazuki kun: What!? Hang on a minute Toudaiji san! Toudaiji
san!
Miyako monologue: I thought the one beside her would always
be me....
Miyako: Oh great... it's a bigger shock than having a broken
heart...
(in the ferris wheel carriage)
Chiaki: There you go!
[bandages Maron's hand]
Chiaki: Does it hurt?
Maron: Nope! It's okay!
This place was memorable.
Chiaki: Yeah, there was a power black out when we were
talking.
Maron: Ahhhh----! Does that mean you knew that I sneaked out
of the celing window!?
Chiaki: Even if I didn't know your identity, I think it was
fairly obvious.
Hm? Maron, you've got wounds on your neck. (small print)
It's all red.
Maron: What? Really!? Oh no...
[Maron realises what they are and freezes]
Maron: [thinks] Kiss marks!? From before!
[Maron blushes]
[Chiaki notices and gets angry]
Chiaki: Was it him?
Maron: No, no... this is um...
[Chiaki kisses where it's all red]
Maron: Chiaki...! Can you.... stop it...
Chiaki: No
Maron: Chiaki~~~~!
Chiaki: ..... Do you like him?
Maron: I don't know... I haven't thought about him like
that...
Chiaki: Then what about me?
Maron: What?
[Maron blushes]
Maron: [thinks] Well... well I can't say it... I can't...
[Chiaki is about to kiss her]
[Maron puts her bag in his face]
Chiaki: Ma~~~ro~~~n~~~
Maron: We-well... Why do you always try to kiss me? When I
was Jeanne, you forced me too...
Chiaki: [a bit annoyed] Well, it's because I think you're
cute! I can't help it!
[Chiaki gets off the carousel]
[Maron is shocked]
[Shikaidou Hijiri is behind a wall spying]
Maron: Oh look how cute---! Let's make Finn's pressie this!
Look, Chiaki! Chia...
[Chiaki is sulking]
Maron: [thinks] He's sulking really bad....
Maron: Chi-chiaki! Why don't you buy one for Access?
[Chiaki ignores Maron]
Maron: Oh look a giant maze! It sounds fun! Wanna try!?
[Chiaki walks off]
(flashback) Chiaki: I get worried
Maron: Chiaki! You can kiss me!
Chiaki: What? (small print) Really?
[Chiaki blushes]
Maron: It's all right now.. so go ahead!
Chiaki: B-but...
Maron: I really don't know about sensei... but please don't
misunderstand.... I don't want
you to misunderstand anything... so...
[Maron lifts her head up, closed eyes]
Maron monologue: I was really just a bit scared. Everytime
you came closer, I felt like my
feelings would overflow.. I was scared...
[Chiaki puts his hand on her cheek and Maron flinches]
[Chiaki lifts her up instead]
Maron: [thinks] What?
Chiaki: Maron, you're so light! It's like you have wings!
Maron monologue: I love you so much my feelings are
overflowing.. How can I tell you this?
All these emotions.
[Maron kisses Chiaki on the head]
Maron monologue: I love you. I love you. I love you so much!
[Chiaki and Maron hug]
Maron: [thinks] I'm so happy...
(at the giant maze)
Maron: No one's here but we can go in right? It says the
average time to the exit is 15 minutes.
Chiaki: Then let's race
Maron: OK! Head start victory!
[Maron dashes]
Chiaki: Hey that's cheating!
[grins]
[Chiaki runs around the actual maze to the exit and places a
small box on a booth outside]
Voice: You're full of happiness, Nagoya kun
[Chiaki turns around to see Shikaidou]
Chiaki: Shikaidou Hijiri! How dare you!!
[Runs up to punch him]
Shikaidou: Now now, calm down.
Chiaki: Did you stalk us all the way here!?
Shikaidou: I didn't want anything to happen to her. (small
print) I was guarding.
Chiaki: (small print) I don't want to hear that from you.
Shikaidou: She is my precious Jean D'arc reincarnation and
I've been protecting her. Ever since
she appeared in this world... And I don't want some guy to
just grab her up...
Chiaki: Which are you in love with, Jeanne or Maron?
[Chiaki glares and Shikaidou stares]
Shikaidou: What a stupid question! She's only one person.
Chiaki: Was Jean D'arc so dangerous if you didn't guard her?
Was she that kind of woman?
Shikaidou: If her spirit is the same then that's okay... I
want that girl who has the
spirit of Jeanne.
Chiaki: Well Maron isn't a girl you can get hold of from
some fake emotion like that. Sorry
to dissappoint you. I don't want anyone but her.
Chiaki monologue: Since I found you from the depths of the
dark, there's only one thing I've
wished for in my heart.
(at the exit)
Maron: Chiaki... this...
Chiaki: I asked you today because I wanted to give you this.
Happy 17th birthday.
Maron: Tha.. Thank you!
[Maron smiles]
Chiaki monologue: That smile.. I want to protect it.
[Chiaki kisses Maron]
Chiaki: Can't I be good enough? Can't I be your rosary? I'll
protect you.... always... I'll
always protect you Maron...
[Chiaki hugs her tight]
Chiaki: Will you quit being a kaitou for me...
Maron monologue: I love you... I love you... I want to tell
you my overflowing emotions.. but...
Maron: I'm sorry... I can't betray Finn. So right now, I
can't answer to your feelings... I'm
sorry. I think she likes someone. She wants to be a true
angel and it's probably to be beside
that person she loves. If Finn wasn't here, then I probably
wouldn't be able to sleep at
night and I probably wouldn't even know a real smile. Finn
is precious, that's why...
Chiaki: And if you found out that Finn was betraying you?
Maron: [thinks] What?
Maron: What are you saying Chiaki? Well...
Chiaki: It's true.
Maron: That's a lie....
Chiaki: I won't lie to you twice. Finn is actually the
devil's advocate.
Maron monologue: It can't be true... it can't... but..
(flashback -- I think) Divine wind...
Maron: [thinks] God!
[Maron runs off]
Chiaki: Maron!
Maron monologue: Finn is betraying me? It's a lie... it's a
lie... I won't believe it!!
Maron: Finn!
[Maron slams open her apartment door]
Finn: Maron! Welcome back! You were quick! What were you
doing? You're out of breath.
Maron: [thinks] It's the usual Finn
Maron: No it's nothing. Here's your present.
Finn: Yay!
Maron: [thinks] I'm so glad... It's just Chiaki's mistake...
[Chiaki is at the door]
Chiaki: Maron! Get away from her!!
[Chiaki throws his rosary at Finn]
[Maron screams]
[Finn grins]
[Finn stops the rosary and then throws them both to the
door]
[Finn's present drops to the floor]
Finn: Oh how bo--ring. Is the game over now? Well I suppose
I've scored well for collecting
so many chess pieces. Now I can go back to my beloved devil
sama!
[Chiaki and Maron are trying to get up while Finn takes the
chess pieces]
Maron: [thinks] Finn!
