[hey I sound like a book reviewer]
The chapter title is a little hard to say... 'Ganbaru' means
'tries hard' or 'makes an effort'.
That's what it says in the dictionary ^_- I think it can
also mean, 'does his best' type thing.
Well you'll see what I mean after you read it. He tries...
um hard or makes an effort or does
his best.... ^_^; It's hard to explain without spoiling it.

Chapter 25 -- Minazuki kun Tries Hard
(Minazuki kun Ganbaru)
(Devil-sama sits in a couch and Fin flies over to him)
Fin : [smiling] Devil-sama!
Devil : It's you, Fin...
Fin : Good news! I've found something really good to hurt
Maron! We can absorb Maron's
power and God's life will probably come to an end.
Devil : I see... Fin, come here... Good girl.
[Devil hugs Fin]
(Maron's apartment)
Maron : .. Then, Jeanne gave me her power and now I'm able
to transform into Kamikaze Kaitou
Jeanne!!
[Maron has a V sign]
[Chiaki and Access pop party crackers and cheer]
Access : That's really good! Now Jeanne and Sinbad can work
together to seal in evil.
Maron & Access : Let's aim to get Fin back!
Chiaki : (small print) You two are friendly...
Maron : Access, you really like Fin don't you?
Access : [blushing] Wha.. What, is there something wrong!?
(small print) I'm serious!
Maron : Nope, I'm happy! I think you two suit each other!
Access : Seriously!? You think? I'm so embarassed...
[Chiaki is getting impatient]
Chiaki : Access! Isn't it time for you to make your rounds?
Go find some evil spirits!
Access : What~~~! But I haven't eaten my pancakes yet!
Chiaki : When you come back, I'll make you some more! Seeya!
[kicks Access out and closes the door with an evil look]
(Tanemura's note : He's not a hero...)
Chiaki : [with sparkles] Maron! We're finally alone...
[Maron is dialling the phone]
Chiaki : Huh?
[Maron turns around and beckons him to come over]
Chiaki : ?
Maron : Hello, father? It's Maron... [shouts] HOW MUCH
LONGER ARE YOU THINKING OF LEAVING ME
BY MYSELF!!!!! COME BACK!!!
[Chiaki's ears are ringing]
[Maron holds his hand]
Maron : Actually... I didn't even want you to divorce.. But
I'm not going to wait any longer!
I'll do things, even if it's painful for me.. So... Please
come back soon. I'll be here.
[Maron hangs up]
[Chiaki smiles at her]
Chiaki : You said it! Did your dad answer?
Maron : No, it was the answering machine. During that time
warp, I thought that maybe I
wouldn't come back any more. I was full of regret about
Father and Fin... And if I could
come back to this world, I promised to do everything! I've
done one thing already!
[thinks] Now all I need to do is confess to Chiaki...
Chiaki : ...
Chiaki : [thinks] I wonder if she thought... about me. I
still haven't heard her reply
about my confession.
Maron : [thinks] "I love you!" All I have to say
is "I love you" but I'm so afraid, I can't
say it~~~
Chiaki : [thinking & brooding] I can vaguely feel it,
but maybe she doesn't like me. That must
be it. I did deceive her like I did. But she seems to
forgive me kissing her (even though it's
rather forceful) lately so it's not like I don't have any
chance. I should confess for the
second time...
Maron : [thinking & brooding] I love Chiaki! He's
expressing his feelings pretty obviously and
enough of it. Now that I know his personality, it's more
unbelievable that he deceived me in
the first place! ... But
Maron : I'm going! [gets up abruptly]
Chiaki : What!?
[Maron slips and Chiaki catches her]
Chiaki : You're so clumsy.
Maron : Sorry.
[They look at each other, then Chiaki kisses her]
Chiaki : I'm so glad that you came back... If Maron had
died, then I probably would have too.
My body would be moving but my heart would have stopped
forever. And that's the same as dying.
I'm really glad...
Maron : [thinks] Chiaki...
Chiaki : So I was thinking again... I ... Really l.. l...
(Emi's note : He's trying to say 'love' in case you couldn't
figure it out)
Maron : We really do have to thank Noin.
Chiaki : No... Noin?
Maron : Yup. When I was running away from the guards and
when I was being caught in the
tornado, he was protecting me all the time.
[Chiaki gets mad and pushes Maron down on the floor]
Maron : Don't... Chiaki! What are you doing!?
Chiaki : Maron is mine! I'm not going to give you up to
him!!
[Chiaki kisses Maron]
Access : [hitting Chiaki on the head] Don't touch holy
saints! You over jealous Chiaki!!
Chiaki : Access! Don't get in the way! What happened to your
rounds?
Access : I remembered that there's something more bad inside
than outside and I came back.
Chiaki : What's up? Aren't you on my side!?
Access : Well, since I succeeded in getting Maron back from
the Devil, I thought it was high
time that I'm going to be a Pure Angel....
Chiaki : So you want to be a Pure Angel as quickly as
possible so you're sucking up to God?
(Tanemura's note : Chiaki has guessed right on target)
Access : Anyway, I ban you from Maron! (small print) I ban
you from touching her.
[Chiaki is in shock]
Access : (small print) Especially a kissing ban too.
(at school)
Maron : And those are the details for next week's camp.
(Tanemura's note : She's actually also a class rep.)
Minazuki kun : Does anybody have any questions?
Guy : Yes, Nagoya kun is looking a bit weird.
[Chiaki is sulking and looking pretty angry at his desk]
Maron : [thinks] He seems really angry! I didn't end up
confessing so it's not wonder he's mad...
Maron : Um... well... I'm sorry...
Pakkyalamao sensei : Ooh! So Kusakabe is the cause!
[everyone whistles]
Maron : What! Oh... No! No it's not!!
[Chiaki gets even more mad]
Maron : Argh!
[Minazuki kun watches quietly]
[A mop is thrown down]
Chiaki : Aaaargh! I can't stand it!!
Minazuki kun : What? Do you hate cleaning that much?
Chiaki : NO. I want to touch Maron so badly.
[Chiaki with a sweatdrop]
Minazuki kun : [blushing] Wha! Wh..wh..wh..wh.. What an
immoral thing to think!!
Chiaki : What, you think of it too! Aaah I long for it. It
must be Maron's body.. or hair?
It smells of citrus and when I hug her, I can relax.
Minazuki kun : Oh... I see. [thinks] Dammit! I'm so
jealous!!
Minazuki kun : You are so lucky. You're confident that Maron
san likes you.
Chiaki : I don't think she likes me.... She definately hates
me.
Minazuki kun : Th... Then how can you be so forceful with
her! Aren't you scared!?
Chiaki : Sure I'm scared, but it's Maron so it's okay. She's
lived alone for all her life, right?
So she can't exactly treat anyone who comes near her
unkindly.
Minazuki kun : !
[Maron suddenly pops up from the window]
Maron : Chiaki.
[both guys shout from surprise]
Maron : Um, I'm going to be late with the committee so can
you go home first?
Chiaki : I'll be waiting at the Momokuri Park. I don't know
where you might go if I leave you
by yourself.
Maron : [thinks] Chiaki...
Maron monologue : He's a very precious person who always
looks at me kindly. So why can't I
say "I love you"? Because I'm afraid?
Maron : [thinks] Great.. Do I still have a grudge because he
deceived me?
Minazuki kun : Maron san! We should close the class room
soon. Ma...
[Minazuki kun sees Maron staring out the window]
Minazuki kun monologue : You are always looking far away.
(flashbacks)
Jeanne : Do you know the meaning of being weak? It's people
who always say "I can't".
Those kinds of people don't necessarily mean they
"can't" but they don't.
Chiaki : She's lived alone for all her life, right?
So she can't exactly treat anyone who comes near her
unkindly.
Miyako : You're much cooler! You're better than you were
before!
Minazuki kun monologue : I was able to change a little. But
I'm too close so I wasn't noticed.
But that's not true. I have to say the words to be noticed.
I have to get some power.... Please
notice.
Minazuki kun : Maron san, I love you.
Maron : Mi..
[Maron glances, then smiles]
Maron : I'm sorry. I like you a lot as.... a person, but I
have someone I love from my heart so
I can't be your girlfriend.
Minazuki kun : [smiles] I see. Is the person you love,
Nagoya kun?
Maron : Y.. yes.
Minazuki kun : Why aren't you dating yet?
Maron : [blushing and fidgeting] I... haven't yet told him
how I feel... I get afraid..
Minazuki kun : What!? Maron san is afraid!?
Maron : Yes! You're able to say it. Minazuki kun, you're
amazing!
[Minazuki kun laughs]
Maron : D..Don't laugh!
Minazuki kun : No... Sorry. Then please listen to this as my
wish for you.
[Maron walking outside]
(flashback) Minazuki kun : Please be happy with the person
you love from your heart.
[In the class room]
[Minazuki kun is crying]
Minazuki kun : Yamato! You're a disgrace! If you're a man,
then give up like a man!
Besides, I could only do it because I got power from other
people's words. It's no wonder I
wasn't chosen by Maron san!
Minazuki monologue : But... I did something I couldn't do
before. One thing.
(flashback) Maron : Minazuki kun, you're amazing!
Minazuki monologue : I was recognized.
Minazuki : This is the first time I've known something this
good. It feels like I'm "living"
and I'm thrilled with joy.
Minazuki monologue : The person who changed me was you. I
loved you and you are a person of
strong faith so my thoughts will never become true. But I
will never give up that part in my
heart for anyone else. You left me gently as I stayed
standing. Maron san, you were my wind.
[Maron is gasping for breath and is crying]
Maron : [thinks] I'm so stupid! I didn't even realise
Minazuki kun's feelings!! And I was so
close to him!! I hope we can still be friends. I'm sorry I
hurt you. And thank you for wishing
for my happiness. So.. I guess I ought to confess to Chiaki
now. All right! I'm going to confess!
Maron monologue : You're love is too confined for me and I
feel too restricted.
(flashback) Chiaki : If Maron had died, then I probably
would have too.
Maron monologue : I'm sorry. If you died, I probably
wouldn't. But... If I'm living, I'd rather
live with you.
[Maron smiles]
Chiaki : Maron.
Maron : [turning] Oh! So...Sorry Chiaki! Did you wait?
[Maron stares]
[Miyako is clung onto Chiaki]
Chiaki : I wasn't waiting that long. I was killing time at
the coffee shop.
Maron : Miyako!? What happened!? Weren't you away from
school because you had a cold!?
Chiaki : We were meeting for a date.
Maron : [thinks] Wha...
Chiaki : Oh, I hadn't told you yet Maron. We've decided to
go out.
