Chapter 9 -- To be loved by you...
(Kimi ni aisareru sono tame ni...)
--The scenes here are so spectaculary wonderfully brilliant
(no, this isn't over exaggerating)
so I don't know how to describe it. If it's possible, as I
said about the cover page, I'll
scan these pages. It's so pretty I don't want to ruin it
with my petty translating attempts ^^;
[Chiaki's eyes gaze]
(A young girl, faceless, is floating on top of water. Chiaki
is standing on the shore)
Chiaki : Who....are you?
[the young girl turns, and her back glows. Feathers appear
and an innocent looking face
gazes at Chiaki]
Chiaki : An angel.....? No..
[The young girl turns into Jeanne, with a confident smile.]
Chiaki : A goddess...
[Jeanne runs off]
Chiaki : Wait..
[Jeanne is running on the water, Chiaki is wading through
it]
Chiaki : Wait! Who are you!?
[Chiaki grabs her wrist]
[His hand is slapped away]
Marron : I hate you!
Chiaki : Wait....!!
[Chiaki is lying in bed with his hand stretched out]
Chiaki : A dream...
[Access is fast asleep]
[Chiaki senses something]
Chiaki : How rude. Entering some one's room without greeting
them.
Person 1 : Chiaki sama, an order from your father.
Person 2 : Please co-operate
Marron : Ahhhh---- I am so happy!! I got to eat spaghetti
from "Maple" (a shop), I got to
buy the clothes I wanted! I am so happy! But....
[Marron glances]
Marron : Why are you sitting there Miyako? (added in small
print) I came shopping alone
Miyako : Hush! It was just coincidence that I'm in the same
shop and I got asked to sit with
you at the same table.
Marron : Then wh----y have you appeared everywhere I've
been? Like the clothing stores, the
book store, the CD store or the movies!!
Miyako : Conincidence! If you're bothered, you lose.
Marron : [quits asking abruptly] Oh well, it doesn't matter.
Because I'm happy!! (sparkles)
Miyako : You've changed somehow... (adds) You've been weird
before, but.
Marron monologue : Yes, I've changed. The Marron who was
pretending to be strong and being
weak dissolved with my sadness. I love Chiaki. [image of
Chiaki] Just thinking about you makes
me kind, I can be honest. I want to become strong from my
heart.... It's the first time I've
ever felt like this [thinks happily] *giggle* I've bought
ingredients for Chiaki's favourite
gratin! Maybe I'll make his dinner --- [realises] That's
right... Miyako likes Chiaki too...
[thinks] Right! It's better to say it now than to ponder
about it later...
Marron : Miya---
Miyako : [reading a newspaper] Hey! Is this Chiaki's place's
hospital---?
Marron : One by one, the patients are missing....
Miyako : Because his father is a kind person, the mood must
be awkward...
Shouting : Let me go!
[Chiaki is being dragged by people wearing black suits and
with black sunnies]
Chiaki : Don't!
People : Hold his feet still! Let's go!
Marron : Miyako! Let's do it!
Miyako : Yo!
Black suit guy : hm?
[Marron and Miyako have scratched the car with ten yen
coins, with graffitti saying "idiot"
and ""]
Black suit guy : Waaa!!! Coin scratches!!!
Marron : Here you go, it's sweet
[Marron and Miyako offer lollies]
Black suit guy : An injured rhapsody.... solved by one lolly
(Emi chan's note : I don't get this at all... it might be
some kind of play-off of a
metaphor or saying I haven't heard of...)
Marron : Chiaki! Are you all right?
Miyako : Chiaki!
Chiaki : Marron....Miyako... The thing is.... hm?
[a hand gags Chiaki with a piece of cloth]
Chiaki's father : You are such a disobedient child. Just be
quiet. Get in the car, Chiaki.
[Chiaki lands roughly in the car. The cloth seems to have
had some drug in it]
Chiaki : Let me out..
Marron : Wa-wait! What are you going to do with Chiaki!?
Chiaki's father : Take him home of course
Marron : But....You said before that you didn't want to
force him home...
Chiaki's father : Hm.. did I say such a thing?
[Marron's rosary is beeping]
Miyako : What? What's this sound?
Marron : oh,
[the car drives away, the beeping stops]
Miyako : Well, his father seemed rather cold today...
Marron's monologue : The rosary beeped.... An evil spirit
has possessed Chiaki's father!
Marron : Game start!
(Chiaki's house/hospital)
[The suited guys are taking Chiaki inside, he slips]
[a hand grabs Chiaki]
Chiaki : Hey Kagura..
Kagura : Long time no see Chiaki sama. I will bring you a
change of clothes.
Chiaki : That's not a secretary's job.... how's mum?
Kagura : Last month, she left the house..
Chiaki : His fourth divorce... well, dad's doing well
Kagura : Using girls, making them want you with your sweet
face, but in the end, discarding
them.... like father, like son... I honour you
Chiaki : Are you being disagreeable or praising me or
jealous? Can you make up your mind?
Chiaki : This really is dad's fault... that's why I can't
have a serious relationship.
Kagura : Always blaming other people, is it a family trait?
Chiaki : [thinks in super deformed form] What? Have you made
up your mind to be disagreeable?
Kagura : You're rather pessimistic at the moment, did
something happen?
Chiaki : [recalls Marron's words] Liar!
[aloud] ....it's nothing...
Kagura : Come to think of it, lately your father has been
acting strangely
Chiaki's father : Kagura! You can go for today.
Kagura : Yes, sir
[Kagura leaves]
Chiaki's father : Now Chiaki kun, promise me you won't go
anywhere again.
Chiaki : Yeah right. [sticks out his tongue
"be--"]
[Slaps his father]
Chiaki : Father, I hate you!
[suit guy slams into the room]
Suit guy : There's an emergency! We've received an arrival
notice from Jeanne! It says
she will take the beauty of master's painting tonight!
[Father perks up, then grins evilly]
Chiaki : Wha-- What....?
Miyako : Ha ha ha ha!! Right Jeanne, tonight I will capture
you!
[Police team cheers]
Police team : It's great that Miyako san is happy again....
yes, it just isn't like her if
she isn't happy.... but I wonder what made her so happy all
of a sudden?
[Miyako's dad shows them the back of the arrival notice]
It reads : P.S. Sorry about before, how I stood you up. I'll
come tonight, I promise!
[Miyako is dancing]
[police team blushes]
police team : [thinks] What a cute person.... (added in
small print) In actual fact, she really
wants her to come
Chiaki's father : Hello Toudaiji san. Have you come to guard
us too?
Miyako : Father!
(Emi chan's note : I think this is in the context as in
saying Chiaki's father)
Miyako's dad : Wow, he looks just like Nagoya kun
Miyako : Umm.... where is Chiaki kun?
Chiaki's father : It is no matter at the moment. I don't
need to tell you
[Chiaki's father is talking to a police man]
Miyako : As I thought.... he has changed...
Miyako's dad : hm?
(sitting on a tree outside)
Marron : Right, it's 9 o'clock exactly! Let's go Finn! Fi--
[Finn is frowning]
Marron : Don't be so angry Finn!
Finn : So we're vanquishing, but in any case, why do we have
to help Sinbad? He's our enemy!
Marron : Sorry, but it's all right. I know where I stand.
monologue : There's something I have to tell him. I don't
want to say good bye like this...
Finn : Oh all right...
Marron : Thank you Finn!
Miyako : Wow, collecting beautiful things is your hobby?
Chiaki's father : Yes
Miyako : [thinks] If the security is so tight, I won't be
able to go look for Chiaki!
Chiaki's father : Hmm, yes. Maybe the next thing I want is a
little female mysterious thief....
Miyako : eh?
[glass shatters]
[Miyako screams]
Jeanne : Reincarnated by God to seal evil..... Mysterious
Thief Jeanne! Sent by God, I have
been revived!
Miyako : Jeanne! [thinks] Wait! Why am I so happy?
Jeanne : Strong and always serious, invincible and
wonderful! One more bonus, happy and brave!
Here I come!
[Jeanne jumps in through the ceiling glass]
[shouts from the police men]
Miyako : ....ug... Everybody! Go get her!
[rushing sounds of feet]
[The real Jeanne pokes up from the ceiling]
Jeanne : I'll leave it all up to you now Finn!
[Finn is baiting the police with a fake Jeanne made out of
leaves]
[Door opens]
Jeanne : [thinks] Hmm, right. First I have to find out where
the painting is. This place
is huge!
[Jeanne spots Chiaki in a glass case]
Jeanne : oh! Chiaki!
[silence]
Jeanne : Eh? ..... a figure? Wow! A true to life figure
diorama---
[Jeanne turns around]
[There is a KKJ figure in a glass case]
Jeanne : Is it.... me?
[The floor opens up under her feet]
[Jeanne falls]
Jeanne : Ooh.. ow ow... What's this? Is this the same
corridor as above?
[thinks] No! It's different! It looks the same, but it's
different! These are.....
[aloud] real.... people....
Chiaki's father (in evil spirit voice) : That's right.
Although they're alive.
Jeanne : [thinks] How horrible! He really is possessed!
Chiaki's father : They've been drugged to be in an apparent
death state. Isn't it spectacular?
It's a work of art called 'eternity'. When I have 2 more, it
will be complete. My beautiful
son and the young, Mysterious Thief Jeanne. I'll decorate
you in a case too.
[Chiaki's father swings at Jeanne with a rose]
Jeanne : That's too bad. I won't be won over with one flower! Sorry about that!
