Narration: The nation's treasure is the one and only princess....

The future in the 30th century. The planet became one nation and is called

"Earth Nation". And also....

Voice: [shouting] Princess!

[Kyoko eating]

Kyoko: Hm?

Text: Suomi Kyoko. Princess of Earth Nation.

Kyoko: What is it Sakataki? Why are you being so loud so early

in the morning? (small print) You're so noisy.

[Kyoko continues eating]

Sakataki: [with sweatdrop] Today we will finally practise how to say greetings

for the ceremony on Sunday!

Kyoko: [cheerfully] Yes, yes, okay.

Sakataki: Two "yes"s... You're lying!

Kyoko: Hmph

[Maids giggle]

Sakataki: You're always like that! Not only have you not greeted, but you've

been abscent for every single ceremony! This time I will have you attend the

ceremony! Because it is Kyoko-sama's birthday ceremony!

Kyoko: [frowns] It's enough to eat fried chicken and make chain circles out

of origami paper to celebrate a birthday! (small print) Fever!!

(note: Fever, I think as in Saturday Night Fever... like a celebration, not

a high temperature ^_^;)

Sakataki: So you do want a celebration?

[Another guy, Hizuki, jumps on top of Sakataki]

Hizuki: Sa, ka, ta, ki kuuuuuun!

[Sakataki shrieks]

Sakataki: [punching Hizuki, while being very well blocked] Brother!

Don't hug your younger brother from behind, at your age!

Hizuki: Oh, come on. It's modest brotherly bonding. (small print) Don't panic.

Kyoko: [gets up from seat] I'm finished! Hizuki, let's go.

[Kyoko walking away with her school bag]

Sakataki: Wha... Princess, the greeting practice..

Kyoko: I'm not going to attend the ceremony! So I don't need practice!

I'm off!

Sakataki: [shouting] Princess!!

Sakataki: [to Hizuki] You should say something too!

Hizuki: Here you go Sakataki kun, your school bag. If you don't hurry up after

the princess, you'll receive a punishment of death from his majesty. We are

the princess' bodyguards, who will die for her to protect her.

Text: Jin Sakataki (younger brother) Jin Hizuki (older brother) Both are Kyoko's

Kyoko monologue: I'm NEVER EVER EEEEEEEEEEEEVER going to attend the ceremony!

Because if I do.. if I do.. Then... Everyone will find out I'm the princess!

Tanemura's note: She's attending high school while hiding her identity.

Kyoko monologue: Sorry, but I'm not going to study all alone with just a tutor! (<-- A tutor!!

I've gone through with this during primary school and junior high so I would like

to at least get through the end of high school like this.

Kyoko: [thinks] Although I feel sorry for Sakataki and Hizuki.

[Sakataki watches her from a seat in the class room]

year group as Kyoko.

[Hizuki stands at the front of the room]

Tanemura's note: For safeguarding, he's got a teaching license and he's the teacher.

A flowery girl next to Kyoko: Oh, Kyoko-chan! Are you going next Sunday?

Kyoko: Oh, Karen. What, are you going out somewhere with everyone?

Karen: No, no. On Sunday it's Princess Kyoko's birthday ceremony.

[Kyoko looks pale ^_^;]

Kyoko: Ugg.

Karen: I'm the head of the Flower Clan, you see. So I'm going to dance the mai!

I'll get you a good seat so come!

(note: A Mai is like one of those dances that Geisha's do)

Kyoko: Sorry, I'm not (can't) going.

Guy: What~~? Even if it's the first time you'll see the princess?

Kyoko: If I'm not (can't) going, then I'm not (can't) going!

Guy: Oh yeah, I heard this rumour about the princess. I heard that the reason

why she doesn't appear in front of the us people is 'cos she's extremely ugly!

[Kyoko freezes]

Kyoko: Oh my, THAT'S an insult!

Guy: [laughs] Don't worry, even if your name is Kyoko too, I meant the princess.

(small print) Sorry Sorry

Guy 2: Hey, if you're talking about rumours, I've heard 'em too!

Kyoko: [thinks] WHAT!?

Voices: Like how she never leaves the palace so she's really fat and she can't even

climb the stairs.

I heard she was too thin because she's anorexic.

Isn't she a cyborg? (<--- *bwahahahaha*!!! =D)

What? I thought she was already dead! (small print) And aren't they hiding that?

Maybe she doesn't even exist in the first place?

I heard she's sick so she's resting.

What's an offside trap? (<-- yeah, I want to know too o_O)

Is rice a meal? (note: it says "okomette gohan nano?" so this could either

mean "is rice a meal? or "is white rice, rice?")

I wonder how much is reasonable for a hotel chipping?

[Kyoko in kitty form balancing on blocks looking paler]

Kyoko: [frowning angrily] No she's...!

Karen: That's all just a rumour! I've heard from the palace maids say "The princess is

a bright, cheerful and sweet person".

[Kyoko blushes in the corner in SD angel form with the words "Bright",

"Cheerful" and "Sweet" above her]

Sakataki: [thinks with sweatdrop] Oh, she's happy!

Hizuki: [thinks with sweatdrop] And on top of that she's getting too excited about it!

Girl: But that one rumour is true.

Narration: The princess has 2 bodyguards who are princes from the Dragon Clan,

who were supposed to have been destroyed... They refine day and night their combat

skills from birth and they never leave the princess for a moment, continuing

to protect her.

[The class is impressed]

[Sakataki and Hizuki feel anxious]

Girls: [all dreamily] Isn't that great?

I'd want to be called "princess" just once!!

[Kyoko looking dead with no comment]

Kyoko: (small print) Really?

Guy: But you know, if she's healthy and all, why doesn't she show up?

Guy 2: They don't even show us a photo.

Guy: The Royal Family lives on our tax money right? Then I'd want them to do their

job properly!

[Kyoko is hurt]

[Hizuki watches]

Kyoko: [thinks] Idiot Kyoko! Don't be hurt! You're the one who's allowed to have

this spoilt and selfish request. It's no wonder they're saying all this..

Hizuki: [smiling cheerfully] Ah well, enough talking. Kizuka kun, can you solve the

next problem?

Kizuka kun (formerly known as "Guy" ^_-): What--!?

(Back at the castle)

King: I see. Is such a thing being rumoured?

[Chokora sits in his lap]

Text: The Earth King (40) {<-- as in age} Thanks to modern medical technology, he

looks young even though he ages.... And his pet, a Cat version android called Chokora.

Kyoko: Yes Father. But if I do attend the ceremony and everyone finds out I'm the

princess, it will be impossible to attend a normal high school... And that's

a painful thing.

King: If that is what you call "pain", that won't do.

Kyoko: What?

King: If such a rumour as "The princess has never attended a ceremony, so she won't even

attend a ceremony to celebrate her 16th" has spread.. then.. There's an uprising occuring

in various places among comrades who have long since have been discontent with you.

Kyoko: No!

King: [while Chokora pulls a face as he talks] Kyoko. I think you should devote yourself

to being a princess. [sweatdrop] Chokora! Sit still when I'm talking about something serious!

Chokora: [clinging to Kyoko] Chokora will be Princess Kyoko instead!

Kyoko: No thank you.

[Chokora comfortably snuggling <-- aww! it's so cute!]

Kyoko: I understand... I will quit school.

[King looking thoughtful]

King: If you can awaken Princess Ui, then you can remain as you are.

Kyoko: [thinks] What?

King: She is your twin sister and has been in a deep sleep ever since she was born.

She is our other princess... If you awaken Princess Ui and the job of a princess is

entrusted to her, then you will have your freedom.

[Image of Princess Ui asleep]

(In Ui's room)

Old man: [reading out of book] On the floor of the room in which Princess Ui sleeps, is

a large clock which is said to have been created by the God of time, Chronos (or so it seems).

(small print pointing to him) Shinto priest

[Birdseye view of Princess Ui's room]

Old man: If this clock is able to be moved, then using the power of Chronos, we can regain

the lost 16 years of Princess Ui's life (or so it seems). But, the clock won't move by

physical means (or so it seems). You will need the spiritual power of people with the special

ability to use the "God Stone"s which is scattered all around the world (or so it seems).

[King nods in agreement and understanding]

[The book the priest is reading says "User's Manual"]

Kyoko: [making a face] Noooooooooo!! You're going to believe a priest who's reading out

of a user's manual with all those "or so it seems"!?

King: [with phone] Well then I'll just go ring your school about the details of your

withdrawal...

Kyoko: [eyes sparkling] So if I collect all the God Stones and the people with the abilities

and move the large clock, then Ui will wake up! I understand, Lord! Sakataki----! There's

something I want to ask you!

Sakataki: (small print) Yes

King: [frowning] Do it by yourself! (small print) By yourself!!

Kyoko: [whinging] Are there any clues yet?

King: Hidden under the bed was one God Stone and a pocket watch. The Space-time Stone.

[A small, spherical stone looking like the planet Earth on a cushion is placed down]

King: We do not know anything about the other stones or the other people with the abilities.

The only clue we have is this stone.

Kyoko: (small print) It's so small

King: Firstly, you must have the stone accept that you are its master. You must show that

spirit. Then, the stone will guide you.

Kyoko monologue: I have to make the stone accept that I am its master?

Kyoko: [gulps] .....

King: [grinning] If you can't, then you'll have to attend the ceremony as a princess

without a word.

Kyoko: I'LL DO IT!!

(note: Is it legal to threaten your daughter like that? ^_^;;)

(In Kyoko's bedroom, the three of them - Kyoko, Hizuki and Sakataki lie on her bed.

Kyoko lies in the middle with the stone on a pillow with Sakataki on her right and

Hizuki on her left.)

Narration: Although...

Kyoko: What am I supposed to do to get it to accept me?

Sakataki: Hmmm

Hizuki: But if they knew how to awaken Princess Ui, why didn't we do this earlier?

Tanemura's note: They're bodyguards even when they sleep

Kyoko: If the body is small, then it can't hold against the strain in the airspace

when the giant clock is moved. (small print) So they waited until we grew a bit.

Sakataki and Hizuki: [nodding] Ahhhh I see.

Sakataki: Well, isn't it good? Now you're released from being a "princess".

Kyoko: I don't know about that yet. That's if Ui accepts it. But right now, above all that,

I just want to meet Ui as soon as possible.

[Sakataki and Hizuki look at Kyoko]

Kyoko monologue: My younger sister who has been sleeping for 16 years. I've been dying

to meet you and talk to you.

(Ui lying on the bed and Kyoko looking at her)

Kyoko monologue: Hey Ui, what kind of dreams are you dreaming? What coloured eyes

are you dreaming with? Tell me with your voice...

Kyoko monologue: Oooookaaaay! Just wait Ui!!

(Kyoko trying to get the stone to accept her ^_-)

[Kyoko kneels and bows in front of the stone]

[Kyoko prays and chants in front of the stone]

[Kyoko tries to bribe it with heaps of food]

[Kyoko tries to seduce it in a bunny costume ^_-]

[Kyoko tries to threaten it, acting like a "yakuza" ie. gangster]

Kyoko monologue: Your older sis is gonna try her hardest!!

(On the school rooftop)

Kyoko: [looking exasperated] I CAN'T DO IT! No! No!! You can!!! You caaaaaan!

(small print) Who's saying that you can't?

Tanemura's note: Eating lunch on the rooftop

Sakataki: Brother... The princess is malfunctioning.

Hizuki: [giving him some tea] That's what's called "Conflict with your heart", Sakataki kun.

Let's just watch over her, shall we?

Chokora: Kyooookooooo

Kyoko: [eating] What, Chokora? (small print) It's rare that you come to school

Chokora: A message from the king!

Kyoko: [thinks with hope] What is it father! Did you find out some secret to this stone!?

(The piece of paper is an instruction to saying a proper greeting ^_^;)

Instructions: How to say a greeting at a ceremony

Step 1. Chest out.

Step 2. Chin up

Step 3. Look forward

Step 4. Announce your name (Open your mouth wide and say it clearly)

Step 5. Be charming! (Improvise) {<-- I think that step is right}

Caution* You may look up but if you lift your chin too high, you'll

turn into Yankee mince (<-- ?_?) so be careful!

(SD King grinning and at the bottom it says "Let's Try!")

Tanemura's note: A stubborn message to tell her that she's attending the ceremony

Kyoko: [smiling while scrunching the instructions] Chokora, may I throttle father's neck?

Chokora: N.O.

Kyoko: (small print) Can I touch the meat ball? (<-- errr uh? o_O)

Chokora: N.O.

Sakataki: Hm? Princess, there's something noisy down below..

[Some weird group on a snake is running into the school]

Blonde guy: HA HA HA HA HA!! We are "The Smashers" gang!

Students and teachers (?): [gasping] A gang!? "The Smashers"!?

[looking sympathetic] You look so weak!

(note: There's something in small print but I can't work it out -_-;; Something

about the star at the end of their name bringing about the "Smashers" feeling more

than them more something >_<)

Blonde guy: Get them fellas!!

(Still on the rooftop)

Sakataki: Gangs have never appeared in the capital city before..

Kyoko: Father was saying... People who have some discontent towards me have formed

rebellious gangs.

Hizuki: Princess, it's dangerous. We should leave this to the police and return to the

palace.

Kyoko: But it could be my fault...

Hizuki: Hold back your regret... Feeling responsible is all well and good, but for now

we must think of your safety and protection.

(note: I think Hizuki meant her when he said "onmi")

Kyoko: I understand.... To the palace then..

Hizuki: Yes, princess.

Voice: Let go of me!!

[Kyoko recognises the voice]

Kyoko: [thinks] This voice...

[A fat thief guy is pulling Karen]

Fat thief guy: Hey chief! This one's got pink hair! She's a Kirito!

[Karen looking troubled]

Kyoko: [thinks] Karen!

Kyoko vocab - 1

A name put together for a new species of humans which combine the DNA of plants and

animals on Earth.

Person + Fish = Mermaid (Fish clan) {<-- Where it says mermaid, the Japanese word is "ningyo"

which is the word used for mermaid but it could also

just be "fish person" in this sense}

Person + Flower = Flower people (Flower clan) {<-- It says "hanabito" for Flower people..

which is just a literal translation}

Blonde guy: Why is there a Kirito here? Kiritos usually live

in their own clans and not with humans.

Black haired guy: Widoshiiku-sama that girl is one of the Flower Clan. The Flower Clan are

exclusive Court dancers so they are kept in the capital city.

(note: what kind of name is Widoshiiku!?)

Widoshiiku: [happily] A dancer!? I want her!! [points to Karen] Right, I've a liking to you!

I will allow you to be my 286th girlfriend!

[Karen screams]

Voice: Oi oi oi! What are you saying!!!

Widoshiiku: Hm?

[The voice belonged to Kyoko, who is now jumping from the rooftop to the ground]

[She falls smack into the ground in front of them]

Kyoko: [pointing her finger] Hey, you! Are you not being slighty rude, speaking to a girl

like that?

Karen: Kyoko chan!!

(Up above on the rooftop)

[Sakataki and Hizuki watch, devastated]

Sakataki: Oh dear...

Hizuki: She went..

Widoshiiku: [thinks] She's so cute!

Thin thief guy: [looking pale] Who the hell is that girl?

Fat thief guy: Did she just fall from the rooftop? She's talking as if nothing was wrong.

Black haired guy: ... What a weirdo.

Kyoko: [throwing a tantrum] Uuurgh! I'm insulted!! Who do you think I am!?

Voice (could belong to any of the thieves): Who are you?

Kyoko: [points to them] I'm this nation's prin...

[Kyoko gasps and realises the whole school is behind her]

Kyoko monologue: I... I can't say it... Because if I'm found out to be the princess, then

I won't be able to come here any more.

(up on the rooftop)

Sakataki: Brother, we have to rescue the princess...

Hizuki: Wait Sakataki-kun. The princess still hasn't broken out from her command that

"If somebody harms me in any way or is rude to me in school grounds, I will not respond".

Trust her and wait for her.

[Kyoko looks sad]

Kyoko: .... I'm sorry for keeping quiet to everyone.

Studends/teacher: What?

Karen: Kyoko chan...?

Kyoko monologue: So what about my wish? My desire? The dilemma? Screw that! There's more

important things to deal with!

[Kyoko clicks her fingers]

[Sakataki and Hizuki respond]

Fat thief guy: [fires arrow] Noisy girls should keep back!!

[The arrow heads straight at Kyoko]

[Kyoko grins confidently]

[Sakataki in dragon form splits the arrow as he flies and grabs it]

[He turns back into human Sakataki]

[Widoshiiku stares]

Thin thief guy: Damn!

[Thin thief guy fires a shot at Kyoko]

[Hizuki appears and the bullet stops when it hits his hand]

[The three of them look at the gang]

Students/teachers: [murmur] Mr Hizuki and Sakataki kun!? (<-- I prefer Sir, but up to you Alexa)

Their eyes are glowing golden...

Thieves: Aaaah!! It's the Ryuuzoku!! Widoshiiku-sama! It's the Ryuuzoku, the Kirito!

Widoshiiku: The Ryuuzoku.. Said to have been destroyed, the Clan of the strongest warriors.

So it was true that there were survivors.

Students/teachers: What? If she's being protected by the two brothers, the survivors of

the Ryuuzoku then...

What?

Kyoko, you... huh? That means maybe..

[Kyoko with her head down]

(flashback) King: Now Kyoko, the way to speak a Royal Family way of greeting...

First of all, chest out.

[Kyoko sticks out her chest]

(note: Hey, is it just me or did that sound strange? ^_^;; Alexa, do you know how to write

it? I have this feeling there's a better way to put it but oh well.... o_O)

(flashback) King: Then, lift your chin.

[Kyoko lifts her chin]

(note: Actually, it says "hiku" which means "pull" but it sounds weird saying "pull in your chin"

in English so I changed it to "lift your chin")

(flashback) King: Look forward and announce your name.

[Kyoko looks forward with a determined look]

Kyoko: I am the first princess of Earth Nation. Suomi Kyoko. This is my kingdom. I will not

allow any disturbances.

[Widoshiiku stares at her]

[Students and teachers watch in admiration]

[Hizuki and Sakataki are bowing slightly and looking pleased]

[A light glows from Kyoko's clothes]

(She kept the stone in her clothes)

Kyoko: ! The Space-time Stone is glowing!

Stone: Kyoko. I am certain I felt your "nobleness".

Kyoko: [panicking] And it's talking!

Stone: I shall give you a staff that allows you to manipulate Time.

[A staff appears]

Stone: The Time Scorpion Cane. Only one with a noble heart may be able to handle Time.

(Note: Cane? Kane? I don't know)

[Kyoko frowns sternly]

Kyoko: [thinks] Okay then!

[Kyoko holds up the staff]

Kyoko: Time, halt!

(* Alex, does halt sound okay? I was thinking of "stand still" or "freeze" or even just "stop"

aaaargh.... ^_^; *takes stress relief tablets*)

[The staff glows and something happens to the time]

Widoshiiku: Hey? Where did that girl go?

[Kyoko jumps from behind him]

Kyoko: [whacks him on the head with the staff] I'm here!!

[Widoshiiku holds his head in pain]

Voice: Chief!

Widoshiiku sama!

Kyoko: It's the punishment you get for causing trouble!

[Sakataki and Hizuki stand in front of Kyoko]

Thief: You.. Damn you, your highness!

Tanemura's note: Even still, he uses "highness"

(note: He actually said "himesama" which means princess-sama, but it would just be princess

in english. And it seems weird to say princess-sama anyway so I just changed it... I think

using "your highness" gives the same effect)

Another thief: Would you like me to beat you up?

Tanemura's note: Even still, he uses formality.

Widoshiiku: Wait. He he he. I like you Princess Kyoko!

Kyoko: Whaat?

Widoshiiku: Today I will dismiss myself for you and give up!

[Kisses Kyoko on the cheek]

Widoshiiku: Your majesty... One day I will make you mine.

(note: I think "onmi" means your majesty... or something honorable... so your highness or your

majesty)

[Sakataki is horrified and Hizuki just is surprised]

Sakataki: [pale and making a face and wiping Kyoko's cheek with a hankie] As if I'd let you!!

[Widoshiiku leaves with his gang on a huge snake]

Widoshiiku: Let's go, fellas!

Kyoko: [thinks] Who the hell was that light hearted guy?

[Kyoko turns and sees all the students and teachers just watching her in silence]

Sakataki: Everyone, the princess was...

[Hizuki picks up Kyoko]

Kyoko: It's okay Sakataki, let's just go home.

[They fly off]

Students: Wha..

(The palace is surrounded by balloons and confetti)

Announcer: Today, June 10th, the 16th birthday ceremony for Princess Kyoko and Princess Ui

was held. Kyoko-sama is entering.

[Kyoko stands wearing a beautiful dress and her hair in pigtails with a head ornament

and Sakataki and Hizuki stand beside her]

Announcer: This is the celebration dance (mai) from the Flower Clan, for Princess Kyoko.

[Karen is dancing]

Kyoko: [thinks] Karen!

[Kyoko's eyes look blank]

Kyoko: [thinks] I wonder what everyone's been up to since then. Karen.. I wonder if she's angry.

[Dancers suddenly lift up Kyoko]

Kyoko: Huh?

[They run off with Kyoko]

Kyoko: [screams] What is this~~!?

Head guard: Oi, Sakataki and Hizuki! There's imposters...!

Sakataki: Do not worry, Sir.

Hizuki: This is a present for the princess.

Kyoko: Hey, put me down..

Voices: Kyoko! Kyoko!!

[Kyoko sees all her friends outside]

Kyoko: [thinks] !

Kyoko: Everyone!!! You... came...

[They're silent]

Kyoko: Ummm..

Everyone: We're sorry!!

Kyoko: Huh?

Kizuka kun: Hey, look.. we... Even though we didn't know you were the princess, it still

was no excuse to say all those horrible rumours..

Girl: And you saved the school but we didn't even thank you...

[Kyoko is teary]

Kizuka kun: Thanks Kyoko. You revealed who you were to save us....

[Kyoko bawls]

Kizuka kun: Hey! What's wrong Kyoko!?

Girl 2: Hiromi! You said something weird again didn't you!?

Hiromi (I think): Kizuka kun!?

Girl: Kyoko, don't cry! (small print) Please!

Someone else: Kyoko!

Kyoko: [crying] You.. You'll call me "Kyoko"..? You'll stay my friends?

Kizuka kun: Of course! We love both "Kyoko" and "princess"!

[They all shrug and shake their heads]

Kizuka kun: Besides, you act so much like a commoner that you would never be found out to be

the princess!

Guy: (small print) And you always forget when to do your class duties!

Kyoko: (small print) Shut up! Shut up!

(note: I can't find a word for "nicchoku" so I just put "duties" because it's like this thing

you do at school.. I think you write in a book about the day, when you clean the board or

the class room, stuff like that)

[King grinning]

King: Ha ha..

Sakataki: Is something the matter, your majesty?

King: [laughing] No, I was just thinking what a grand princess she's grown up to be...

Sakataki: [sweatdrop and looking pale] You think? We always get abused. (small print) She's
