Chapter 8 -- Replica of a Princess

(Image of Ui asleep as Sakataki is knocking on Kyoko's door,

inside Kyoko's room, she is on the bed)

(flashback) Ui: I don't know. Who are you?

Sakataki: Princess! Whatever is the matter!? Please open the door!!

(flashback) Ui: I was born alone...

Sakataki: Princess!! Princess Kyoko!!

(flashback) Ui: Who are you...?

Kyoko: That's... The one thing I want to know...

(outside the door)

Hizuki: .... Seems like it's no use. We'd better leave her be for a while.

Sakataki: ......

Mizuno: What does it mean, that Princess Ui doesn't know Kyoko?

(small print) Aren't they twins?

Sarai: [smiling cheerfully as per usual] She probably just forgot they were

born together. (small print) Nothing to worry about!!

Karen: .... I don't think so. This is the first time I've seen Kyoko chan like

this.

Mizuno: [slapping a fish on Karen] What are you trying to say, huh, miss

goody two shoes.

(note: The word Mizuno uses for 'goody two shoes' is 'burikko chan' a 'buri'

is the word for yellow tailed tuna, so that's why she's got the fish on Karen's

head)

Karen: I'm not a goody two shoes! I'm Momoto Karen!! (small print) Stop it

Karen: No matter how awful things are, Kyoko chan is always so cheerful

about it that it makes you feel at ease. She always avoids it just like that.

So if that Kyoko chan is so troubled, then....

Hizuki: It probably means she knew it was the truth. In other words, Kyoko sama

and Princess Ui are not twins. That means that Kyoko sama is not a true Princess.

[Sakataki gets mad and grabs Hizuki by the collar]

Sakataki: Brother! We don't know that yet!!

Hizuki: If Princess Ui is not the real princess, then it's strange that Kyoko sama

would be so disturbed.

Sakataki: Shut up!

[The king approaches them]

King: ... Yes. It would be a smart thing to not inquire into it unnecessarily.

[Guards surround all of them - Sakataki, Hizuki, Mizuno, Sarai and Karen]

King: What Ui spoke about is not allowed to be revealed... If anyone leaks out

this information to the outside, then just know that clan will dissappear instantly.

Hizuki and Sakataki shall continue guarding Kyoko. The others return to Ui and

continue giving her power. Is that understood?

(Kyoko is in her room getting changes out of her Stranger clothes)

(flashback?) King: Kyoko... You are not my actual child...

[Kyoko closes her eyes tight]

[Her phone rings]

Kyoko: Wah! Yes, hello! [thinks] Oops, I answered it...

Sakataki: Princess?

[Kyoko stares]

Kyoko: Sakataki....

Mizuno: [annoyed] What is with that! The King acting so high and mighty!!

(Mizuno, Karen and Sarai are standing on the clock)

Karen: Well, he is a very important person so it is to be expected.

Mizuno: But that was like a threat!

Sarai: ... well it was, right?

Mizuno: We came with Kyoko! We are not here to serve the royal palace!!

Text: We are the clan leader trio

Sarai: Yeah, but he's got the loss of our clan against us~~~~

Mizuno: Well, for the moment I guess we can give Princess Ui our power

Karen monologue: But if worst comes to worst, I'll help you with my power

Kyoko chan...

[Chokora is 'ni' 'ni' -ing]

Karen: What's the matter Chokora chan?

Chokora: [holding up a phone] For some reason, Kyoko's voice can be heard

from Chokora's phone. Mys. Tery.

Kyoko: Is... Is it really Sakataki? Why...

Sakataki: I wanted to ask you to be certain... As Hizuki says, your highness..

Kyoko sama... Are you really not a member of the Royal Family?

[Kyoko is saddened]

Kyoko: ... Yes. I'm not a real princess.

[Sakataki frowns]

[Karen, Mizuno and Sarai listen]

Kyoko: I was apprently found the day Ui was born. They don't know who I am

or where I'm from. Father said that if Ui was awakened, we would find out eventually...

But I actually have a feeling I know what my real identity is. I'm probably... A Mazoku.

[Sakataki laughs]

Kyoko: Wha... How horrible! You didn't have to laugh!?

Sakataki: I'm sorry, it's just such a crazy thing to say.

Kyoko: Well, my ears are point! And even if I fall from high places, I'm insensitive to

the pain! And I once tried to kill Ui too!!

Sakataki: !?

Kyoko: When I first found out that I wasn't a princess, in a fit I tried to stop Ui's

life support. Of course I returned to my normal self and stopped myself... But from

that point on, I was so scared of myself.

Text (possibly Kyoko's monologue): A Kirito is a child born between two races,

a human and another animal. Ryuuzoku can become a dragon, Sakanazoku can

become a fish and each one has their characteristic in their blood.

Kyoko: The Mazoku who have the demon's blood in them have the desire for

destruction or the desire to kill... One day, I might subconsciously attack someone

or be like Lartuone and try to control people with her violence. Someone like me can't

be a princess! Once day I'll ruin this country!!

[Kyoko throws the phone at the door]

Kyoko: That's why I want to quite being a princess!! I have to!!

[Collage of Sakataki, Mizuno, Kyoko, Sarai, Karen and Widoshiiku!]

Widoshiiku: If you want to quite so badly, then I'll make you quit.

Kyoko: Huh?

[Kyoko screams]

Sakataki: ! Princess!?

[The door slams open]

Sakataki: Bwah!

Widoshiiku: [holding Kyoko] Sorry Sakataki!! But today, I will definitely have Kyoko!!

Sakataki: Widoshiiku!!

[Widoshiiku slams open the door to Ui's room]

Sakataki: Wait Widoshiiku!!

Karen: Huh!?

Sarai: What the hell!? (small print) Akira!?

Widoshiiku: Come on Sune chama!!

[Sune chama, the snake, breaks the glass ceiling]

[Everyone screams]

[A ladder falls down and Widoshiiku grabs it]

Kyoko: No! Sakataki! Sakataki!!

Sakataki: Kyoko sa....

[Sakataki sees a pillar about to fall on Ui]

[He holds the pillar up]

Sakataki: Princess Ui!!

[Kyoko watches with a hint of realisation]

Widoshiiku: Kyoko...?

Kyoko monologue: I wanted Ui to awaken. I didn't have the right to be a princess.

That's what I thought. But as Staffy said, I was being a little negative. Because I

would find out my real identity? ..... Yeah, that too. But because Sakataki is the

bodyguard of a 'princess'. If he found out that I wasn't the real princess, then I was

afraid he wouldn't be by my side any more... Is it just as I thought? You won't protect

me any more...

Kyoko: Widoshiiku take me away...

Sakataki: Kyoko sama!? What are you...

[Sakataki runs up to them]

[Kyoko takes Staffy]

Kyoko: Time, Halt!!

[Kyoko kisses Sakataki and drops Staffy]

[Time returns]

Sakataki: What...?

Kyoko: That time in the cave... I didn't care if it was for resuscitation.

If you had kissed me, I would have been happy. I'm sorry... I'll cancel my order

for you to be with me forever and protect me. Good bye...

[Sakataki stares in shock and sadness]

[The ladder is pulled up]

(In another room)

[The King watches a screen showing Sakataki staring up at the ceiling,

some kind of hidden camera thing]

[Hizuki watches from the window]

(At Widoshiiku's hideout place)

Kyoko: What is this!

[Kyoko is wearing a GORGEOUSLY laces dress]

Widoshiiku: It's a wedding dress! Isn't it cute?

Kyoko: yup!

[The other thieves clap]

Kyoko: ... wait a minute and who said I'd marry you!?

Widoshiiku: Noooooo and I'm sick, on top of that

Kyoko: So.. Sorry, are you okay!?

Widoshiiku: No, give me a kiss

[The others walk out]

[She bashes up Widoshiiku]

Kyoko: [walking out the door] Goodbye.

Widoshiiku: Damn, it didn't work. [Widoshiiku takes off the fake bump on

his head] After you found out that I've got this disease, I figured maybe I

could get you out of sympathy.

Kyoko: Then okay. If you need me, then I'll be yours...

Widoshiiku: Wha...

[Widoshiiku stares, then smiles]

Widoshiiku: You idiot. Don't say things that don't suit you.

[Kyoko is crying]

[Widoshiiku hugs her]

Kyoko: ... What do I do? What am I going to do?... I don't.. even know...

Widoshiiku: There, there. I'm sorry. Just say it slowly.

Kyoko monologue: To tell the truth, I want Sakataki to be by my side...

It's just like Mizuno loving the ocean. I love the Earth. I want to protect it.

I don't want to quit being the princess. Father and Chokora and Ui and Hizuki

and everybody, I love everybody. They're all important to me. I don't want

to leave them... Is it impossible? Is it something that isn't allowed? I always

try hard to cover up my feelings. I always make a joke of them.

But I want to be with everyone forever... Is it a crime to have that wish?

[There's an explosion]

Widoshiiku: !?

[Lartuone stands there]

Lartuone: [giggles] I found you Princess Kyoko!

Kyoko: ! Lartuone!?

(back at the palace)

[Sakataki is thrown against the wall]

Mizuno: And you just watched Kyoko being kidnapped!! And you call yourself

Kyoko's bodyguard!! A prince from the Ryuuzoku warriors!

Karen: Mizuno chan, I think you're saying too much. (small print) You couldn't do

anything either.

Mizuno: (small print) Don't interrupt you goody two shoes!!

[Mizuno starts slapping Karen]

Karen: (small print) Stop it. Stop it.

Sakataki: We'll leave the others to clean up. Let's just give

Princess Ui our power.

Karen: What.... Aren't you going to go after Kyoko chan?

Sakataki: .... Brother will go.

(flashback) Kyoko: I'll cancel my order for you to be with me

forever and protect me. Good bye...

Sakataki: Kyoko sama left out of her own free will. There is no

obligation for me to go after her.

Karen: Sakataki kun...

[Sarai is holding Mizuno, who is pissed off]

(back at Widoshiiku's place)

Lartuone: For some reason, the stone melted away early... And I

thought I'd attack the Sakanazoku again, but then I realised. Instead

of ruling the ocean, I might as well take you as a hostage and rule the land!

Kyoko: [thinks] (small print) I left Staffy behind

Kyoko monologue: Oh no no no! What am I going to do!!

Oooh ooh and Hizuki once again seems dodgy. I've noticed

everyone in the ML has a thing with the King being up to things,

but I reckon Hizuki is also very fishy. I mean he's always seen

spying in the shadows.... Maybe he's a spy... Although he's a

Ryuuzoku... Is Hizuki even the Ryuuzoku prince? Maybe him and

Sakataki aren't real brothers either? o_O Because that comes back

to the whole Sakataki being the head of the clan thing and not Hizuki.

Maybe it's not necessarily the oldest that becomes the head.
