Hey lookie Alexa, it sounds like we're a company from that

sentence above!! ^_^;; *cough* Okay aaaanyway..

For those of you who don't know, this chapter came sometime

between the 1st and the 2nd, but I think it's handier to

read this first.... Cos it's so cute ^_^; Heh.. No, no it's

cos it's sort of background info to who exactly Kyoko is

and who exactly Sakataki and Hizuki are.

Oh and by the way, all these Kirito type "zoku"s just mean

clans. So -

Ryuzoku is Dragon Clan

Hanazoku is Flower Clan

etc.

^_^ Except with Ouzoku, it would mean Royal Family... not

Royal Clan or anything.. So technically I guess the others

should be Dragon Family or Flower Family? Hmmm maybe not..

Oh well, Clan sounds better ^_^;

And I'll try really hard to make Hizuki and Sakataki speak

like princes but umm well, you know how princes talk ^_^;;

It's difficult to translate and also put in the princely

words.

And I'm also going to have to somehow copy the cute baby

talk Kyoko speaks ^_^; So I'll have the real word in ()

Special Side Story -- Little Princess

(Burnt, charred wood structures)

Narration: 11 years ago in the hands of something unknown,

the Dragon Clan was destroyed.

(In a large throne room, a king stands with two young boys kneeling

before him)

King: So, the Dragon Clan. One with brilliant combat sense in their blood,

among the Kirito's of the world. Something or someone must have feared the

power... that must have been so.

Tanemura's note: Kirito - A human plus some other living thing.

They are people who have animal genes. So a Dragon Clan is a dragon

and a person.

King: And the only survivors are these two princes. Jin Sakataki and

Jin Hizuki.

[Sakataki stands with a stern face while Hizuki is smiling]

(Note: Hizuki is older)

King: I see... [King turns to walk away] Well inside this castle,

you will be safe from your enemies. We've decided to take you in

to this palace so relax and think of this as your own home.

Sakataki: I.. I don't want to!

King: Hm?

Sakataki: Oh, I mean.. I... I do not want to just stay here

doing nothing! Please give me some work to do!

King: [with hand on chin] Ahh, like a typically strict Dragon Clan prince.

(note: that is, Sakataki has been strictly brought up)

King: [grins] Very well. There are many jobs in this castle. When you have chosen

one, come and tell me.

Sakataki and Hizuki: Thank you very much!

A weird cat thing: It'll be good to become Chokora's play mate!

[Sakataki and Hizuki sit there staring at it with sweatdrops and

no comment]

King: [panics] Noooo! Chokora is my pet!! (small print) You play with me!!

Narration: Later..

Voice: Wash the dishes!

[Sakataki with dishes all broken]

Voice: You break too many!

Voice: Look after the garden!

[A huge pile of grass stands]

Voice: You cut too much grass!

Voice: Clean the castle!

[Hizuki stands with a cute apron and duster and the pillars are broken]

Voice: You break too many pillars!

[Hizuki and Sakataki sit looking peaceful]

Voice: You're useless!!

[Sakataki and Hizuki are walking on some rocky place]

Sakataki: We couldn't do much, could we, brother? (small print) Oomph

(Note: The oomph is sort of just a rough translation... I don't know how

to translate "untoko dokkoisho" ^_^;; It's just like a phrase you say

when you're oomphing over large rocks that are hard to climb ^_-)

Hizuki: Well until now we've only learnt martial arts...

Tanemura's note: For the time being, they're going on a walk.

Hizuki: To be a soldier for the palace, you have to be sixteen.. I guess

we'll find something to do...

[A girl is falling from the sky]

[She lands smack into a slab of rock next to Hizuki]

Hizuki: Aaaargh!!!!!

[Hizuki and Sakataki both jump]

Hizuki and Sakataki: [think] A human!?

[They watch the girl silently]

[She starts to get up]

[They watch with sweatdrops and are startled]

[The little girl smiles sweetly at them]

[They both blush]

Sakataki: Who are you?

Hizuki: What's your name? What are you doing?

Girl: Kyoko. I'm palaying (playing). [dusts herself off] Upside down,

upside down, from all the way up there! It's hundred percent thrill!

(note: What Kyoko just said isn't a literal translation at all ^_^; I had

to change it a bit)

Kyoko: [dashes] I'm gonna do it again!

Sakataki and Hizuki: [staring at her] AGAIN!?

Sakataki: We have to go after her! If we don't stop her, she'll die!

Hizuki: That's a bit exaggerated...

Sakataki: [sadly] Like father and mother..

[Hizuki responds]

[He pats Sakataki, who is now a little teary, on the head]

Hizuki: All right Sakataki-kun, let's go.

(The two of them are near a river)

[They both look around furiously]

Hizuki: Hmm? That's strange, I thought she came somewhere around here...

Sakataki: She's not here..

[Kyoko is standing on a rock higher than them and an arrow points to

her feet]

[She jumps and does a twirly dive that shows her underwear]

[Sakataki and Hizuki stand there with huge eyes, staring at Kyoko]

(Note: As Kyoko dives, there's writing alongside her every twirl

position she does and it says "Pantsu miesugi" which means "(you) can

see too much of her underwear" ^_^;;)

[Sakataki and Hizuki both scream as Kyoko jumps at a slab of rock]

[Kyoko bounces on a bungee rope]

[Sakataki and Hizuki run for her and skid, then stop with sweatdrops]

(Note: The next box has a "tsuchinoko" in it for some unknown reason ^_^;;

I don't get it. A Tsuchinoko is this animal that supposedly exists, it's

a snake. Like a lock ness monster or something.)

Sakataki: Don't do such dangerous things!

Kyoko: Hmph

Hizuki: If you want to play, there are other games...

Kyoko: [looking cute with her tongue poking out cheekily] Pa (as in Grandpa)

said to me "A member of the royal family musht (must) not be afraid of

shmall (small) things" So it's twaining (training) to give me courage!

[Kyoko runs off]

Kyoko: Still more!!!

[Sakataki and Hizuki with sweatdrops]

Hizuki: Aaaaaah wait!

[They both run after her]

Kyoko: [while running] Oh, what are your names!?

Sakataki: Jin Sakataki!

Hizuki: Hizuki! Is it true that... you're from the royal family!?

Kyoko: Yup! I'm a princess!

Sakataki: What? A princess..?

Sakataki monologue: Because of the way of the royal family, do you

purposefully put yourself in scary situations to give yourself courage?

But you are so little.. Even though you are very little... You...

[Kyoko jumps off a cliff]

(Note: and lookin' pretty happy about it too ^_^;;)

Kyoko: Waaaaaaahhhhh!!

[Flapping arms]

[The King notices in his room]

King: Hm?

Maids and butlers: [screaming] Princess! Kyoko-sama!!

[Sakataki and Hizuki move quickly]

Hizuki: Sakataki-kun, let's go!

Sakataki: Go!

[Hizuki grabs Sakataki's hand, then hurls him]

Hizuki: [shouting] Go!!!

[A dragon grabs Kyoko by her dress in mid air]

Kyoko: Myu? (<-- I'm going to leave that as it is ^_^ It's cute)

[The dragon, assumably Sakataki flaps his wings]

Kyoko: Cha.. Chakataki (Sakataki)? (small print) You're a dragon?

Sakataki: Mm.

Kyoko: Amajing (amazing)! Chakataki (Sakataki)! (small print) You're great!

[Hizuki jumps down]

King: Ahh child of the Dragon Clan. Well done in protecting Kyoko.

[Chokora clings to the King]

Maids and butlers: Princess! Princess!

[Sakataki and Hizuki look at each other]

Hizuki: Your majesty! We've found a job where we can make use of

our abilities!

King: And what may that be?

Sakataki and Hizuki: We want to be the princess' bodyguards!

King: [still with Chokora clung to him ^_^;] ..... I see. Very well.

[Kyoko stands there puzzled]

[Sakataki and Hizuki kneel at Kyoko's feet]

Sakataki: Princess, you may play your falling game as much as you like.

(note: It could be the both of them saying this to Kyoko, but I'm pro-Sakataki

so I'll make him sound good ^_^;; The speech bubble looks like it comes from him

anyway. And the same with what Sakataki says down there.)

Narration: The Dragon Clan admire people who take great pride in themselves.

That is why we want to serve you.

Sakataki: I will be by your side whenever and wherever you may be.

So I will be there to catch you.

(In present time where all three of them are older as in chapter 1)

Narration: We will be by your side at any time to protect you.

You may be very little, but you are our precious princess.

Emi again ^_^ Some of the above thingies aren't literal... But I've got

the gist so it should be okay. Yay Sakataki! Go Sakataki! ^_^ He's the best character so far ^_^
